“Trial of the Chicago 7” is a relevant movie on how authorities deal with demonstrators

The 2020 movie The Trial of the Chicago 7 is an engaging history lesson about police brutality and a politicized trial against Vietnam War protesters in the 1960s.

The movie is very relevant today as the world has witnessed the double standard practiced by US authorities in dealing with demonstrators in recent months.

Demonstrators for racial justice last year faced a police force that was much more aggressive than the officers that dealt with Trump supporters that stormed Congress on Jan. 6.
