‘The Road’ helps visualize a post-apocalyptic worldAugust 2021
Devastating wildfires have been harming nature and cities around the world in recent months. Fires have hit countries like the US and Turkey and even cold places such as Siberia and Greenland.
That raises the relevance of the 2009 movie The Road starring Viggo Mortensen and based on Cormac McCarthy’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel of the same name.
The Road gives a fictional view on how life could look like in an ash-covered world destroyed by an unspecified major disaster.
See the movie and/or read the book. The story is fictional but helps visualize what man-made climate change could lead to in a not-so-distant future.
